Therapy To Shift Your Life - Starting Now!
I will teach you how to overcome depression, close the door on anxiety, and flourish in ALL relationships or transitions. I uses an integrative, holistic, here-and-now approach grounded in trauma-informed, attachment, CBT, DBT, and somatic modalities. Let me guide you forward to a life worth living with empathy, feedback, coaching.
My Bachelor’s in Psychology is from the University of Michigan. My Master's and PhD are from the California School of Professional Psychology/Alliant International University. Prior to launching my private practice offices in Palo Alto and San Jose, I worked for a family counseling group practice where I supported a diverse community of adults, first responders, families, and teens affected by depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and addiction. Previously, at the YWCA Silicon Valley’s Healing Center, I provided trauma-informed, client-centered, strength-based, and culturally sensitive tele-therapy (COVID years) for individuals and families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, human trafficking, and other crisis situations.
As a therapist, I employ a holistic view with a strong base in creating empathy. I respectfully and actively explore behavioral, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual aspects of my client’s life. My approach is grounded in proven methodologies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TEAM-CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Attachment, and Choice Theory. I give reflective feedback, suggestions, homework, research-based information, and other perspectives. I provide parent coaching and/or coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to help you make progress.
I am constantly honing my skills on integrative approaches to treating depression, anxiety, habits and addiction, and relationship improvement. I continually attend workshops and seminars on somatic methods, polyvagal theory, trauma, parts work, mindfulness and grief.
